Sitka excursion - Best Of Sitka: Otters, Raptors & Bears

Hi all!

My family and I are headed to Sitka and are looking for an aquatic adventure. Has anyone heard of or done snorkeling in Sitka or Alaska in general?  It sounds kind of crazy, but we are an adventurous bunch.

When is your trip?

We are looking at a 10 day cruise with Norwegian August 25th!  I hope it's not too late in the season to go.  Have you snorkeled in Sitka?  When is your cruise?

Hi Coral,

Not sure if you are back yet, but if you are, how was the Wildlife tours?  Did you see the otters?
Also, how was getting a taxi over there?  I've been reading the lines are crazy.

I ended up finding a tour in town for $90 that included the Raptor Center, Fortress of the Bear and the Totem park. They were all excellent.

 

I did speak with individuals who did do this original tour (with boat ride) and they were very pleased with the tour.

 

I only have one port left which is Victoria. I actually have not seen otters on this trip. I usually see them in Glacier Bay and this cruise did not go there.
