My friend that I'm traveling with went to the gym cuz we leave on the cruise tomorrow. The gym is not close to home and Barry took my car since he does not live in So Cal like I do. Well, I just got a call from him. He locked the keys in the car. So, now instead of finishing my packing or relaxing, I've been on the phone with AAA trying to get a tow truck out to unlock the car. Only a 50 minute wait. I just need to take a deep breath and remember we are cruising tomorrow on the Pride.

I do the driving when he is here anyway. After the car had actually been unlocked, he called to ask if my car had another security system explaining the slim jim would not unlock the door. When he started to hear the panic in my voice he said "Got you again". He knows how gullible I am and how I start to stress out the night before a trip. LOL

Speaking from experience, the locking-the-keys-in-the-car-thing is far from exclusively male behavior. In our home we are equally adept at losing keys.

When I picked him up at the aiport Friday, one of the first things I asked was if he did have his passport. I freak about about small things like this. Of course, he went in to the routine of saying you told me I didn't need the passport that a birth certificate would do. That's fine it most situations, but he was born in IRAN! Down deep, I knew he was pulling my leg, but it still started to freak me out since I had a dream the night before that he forgot the passport and had to turn around and fly back home to San Franicisco to retrieve it. All is well this morning and we will leaving for the ship in a little over two hours!

I would have to think of something more creative. For starters, my child bearing days are long gone. My children are ages 27 and 29. Another important issue is that he is my DF not my BF. :D

 

And yes, I did just get off the Pride (and the Ecstasy) a short time ago. So, now I'm saving my money up to sail the Spirit.

We keep a key under the lincence plate, won't be found or fall off as easily as one of those key boxes, but all you need is a coin to unscrew it. When my DH and I were first married we had to go to Detroit for a child custody matter and he had never checked his new key to the doors, needless to say we waited in the snow 2 hours for AAA to come. He still hears that story from time to time. I also have one of those prankster guys, likes to get me as often as he can, next time he's brushing his teeth, act suprised and tell him sorry you forgot to tell him it fell in the toilet(that got a good rise out of mine,hehehehehe) Through all of it, you just have to smile and remember why you love em. WOW! What a bad night! And now I see the topic "MEN!" Men, kids, pets ... don't even want to go there tonight. Sorry, just had to vent a little frustration. Maybe I should search for a very uplifting thread LOL!

 

PS: under another past thread people directed me to reading Janet Evanovich books (Stephanie Plum Series) .... where are Ranger and Moralli when I need them!
