Spice route in May -what's your experience of the sea & weather conditions?

Recently completed RT Cape Town on Journey, whilst expecting the sea to be a tad 'bouncy' it took us a bit by surprised quite how much swell and how changeable the weather was. 

 

Can anyone share their experience of this route at this time of year

We have done it. The weather is unpredictable in all parts of the world and we did have some moderate bounce but nothing we couldn’t handle
