You kissing the fish?

Rumor is, pax will have a sanitary version while some crew may have fun.

I'll have a full report

What time is it for you? Here on the east coast it is almost 7:30. You are behind us now?

It is now 11:30am and 5:30pm EDT (NYC)

Now, my phone, computer and everything all say it's the 21st....I missed 4/20? Boooo

But the ship says it's Thursday, because we have our Tahiti stop tomorrow, friday.

Totally confused, we lost another hour last night....my sleep is totally jacked

Schnitty day out. Total overcast, down to the horizon, so even looks like fog. Heard a loud thunder clap last night.

Sounds like fun. On Navy ships in the 70's - we got to kiss the Royal Baby's behind. In actuality - we were brought up individually to the Royal Baby (who was the fattest Shellback onboard). He was dressed in his Royal Baby regalia. At that point, we were blindfolded while they uncovered his large gut. It was slathered with Crisco shortening and at that point, we were shoved face first into his gut (thinking it was his behind) and then led away to the next experience. All about perception.

Not unusual. One time, we had just gone past Singapore and thru the Malacca Strait to enter into the Indian Ocean. We were greeted that first Indian Ocean day with literally no horizon line. The sky was the exact same gray as the Indian Ocean. Have a picture of that somewhere in one of my cruise albums.

Haze gray and underway as the saying goes.

My father-in-law was in the USN in WW2 on board the destroyer USS Baltimore. Here are some photos from the Baltimore's WW2 book of the ceremony when the ship and the young sailors crossed the line late in 1943 while heading to the South Pacific:

Did you miss a day?  I thought you’d repeat a day since you moved clocks back 24 hours.

Yep, you can see King Neptune dressed in white in the first two pictures holding his Trident.

Just like High Schools have yearbooks. Navy ships have Cruise Books. I'll have to dig out my 1976 USS Enterprise Cruise Book and see if I can post a few pics of our Crossing the Line.

Sorry, still confused by your answer, not in the steakhouse location I know that is on deck 10. But you said you could hear music from a bar on deck 2 while dining at the steakhouse on deck 10? 🤷‍♂️

I'd assume you can hear the buffet traffic and music playing from the opening down to deck 9 below, but I am curious if its enough to detract from the dining experience at the steakhouse? Thanks!

Since the steakhouse boarders the atrium on Deck 10 the sounds travel all the way up from the atrium bar on Deck 2. It's the same thing on the Pride.

Good Morning!

Thank you for this wonderful day-by-day trip report!

I will be on her in 2 months and I was wondering if you can report back on the smoking section when you have a chance. (Person in my group is concerned about rain and wind on our Alaska trip where smoking is concerned.)

Also, I am so impressed by your casino winnings and the offers they have extended all ready! (I play in it every time and no one has ever offered me dinner at the Steakhouse. I must not be racking up enough points? I wish there was a guide that explained the benefits of time vs dollar and points. It would make my life so much easier. 😉 )

TIA!

Hello....Morning here as we pass what I believe is Moorea, which is our stop tomorrow.

If you zoom in closely, you'll see a RCCL ship, I beliee thats the one we're chasing. It departed a day before us, making it being in Moorea today, one day before us, totally plausible.

Going to have to do in several parts, kids.....

This is the departure, meeting up and then our first stop, a Marae...sacred place, like a church.

The river looks muddy because of last night's rain.

It was nice all day, hot and humid....you know, like Florida

Visit to a natural spring. Family was enjoying and allowed our intrusion. Look beyond the elder woman sitting and you can see where the water is bubbling up from a natural spring.

You'll see in another photo, folks filling water jugs and bottles from the spring. No charge. Icey cold.

Then was the beach and first look at black sand.
