Balcony Door on the Mediterranea

We sailed on the Meditteranea last April in a balcony cabin and the door does not stay open. However, you should know that if you prop the door open it causes the AC in your cabin to go off. My husband wanted the door open to enjoy the sound of the ocean but then the cabin would get warm. It took us several days to figure out the connection! We did still leave the door open at night as it was very comfortable. Enjoy, you're sure to have a great time!!

We were in 8259 on Mediterranea and found salt spray hiting our veranda on at least two nights of the Eastern cruise. The next week the Western cruise was much less windy but the crew washes the balconies twice each week - so you know the salt spray really blows up high. We found the door pretty stiff to open and then pretty gusty out there when moving along at night.
