Is it odd that I only see surf & stream option in my planner?

I don't need the streaming option--surf is enough.

But I don't see any other option in my planner.

Can I book Surf onboard--at what price? Surf & Stream is showing $20/day.

Might forget it in AK since date works when in port...

There is no Surf anymore now that we're in the Starlink era

Starlink has been added to most of the ships and Surf & Stream is the only     choice.  The internet does seem better than in previous years.

Haven't sailed RCCL since 2018...

Just an FYI, we have cruised AK 6 times in the last 2 years.  Internet is really spotty due to the mountains. The ports didn’t have very good coverage either.

Good point--internet was the worst I've had on Princess last fall in AK.

But my data worked great!

I found that there was always somewhere an easy walk from the port with free wi-fi/internet.  So if you are just looking for an occasional check-in and don't need internet for some reason, you'll probably be fine between data and the local library or similar place.

WiFi was nearly useless on my Alaskan cruise on OV last year, really slow when it was working and frequently out of service entirely. I probably won't bother getting it when/if I go back to Alaska.

I expect internet in Alaska to be much better this season due to Starlink better positioned for internet there
