Leath21 Posted April 13, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2023 Has anyone used the 'not advertised' Ship-Port>Train Station $25 pp RT shuttle offered by NCL in 2023? If so, could you please explain the specifics? We arrive at port at 8am (presuming that means we can exit the ship starting at 8a). 1. What time/how often does the shuttle pick up? 2. From where - the ship? 3. Where does the shuttle pick up from on the return - the train station? 4. If the ship is overnighting in port - what time does the shuttle stop doing pick ups? And/or how often does the shuttle show up at the pick up location? Thanks!
euro cruiser Posted April 13, 2023 #2 Share Posted April 13, 2023 Assuming that the timing works for you, this is a great deal. I know it seems ridiculously expensive for a three mile bus ride, but a taxi (assuming you can get one to take the fare) will charge you 25 euro each way.
mapleleaves Posted April 13, 2023 #3 Share Posted April 13, 2023 The first NCL ship at Livorno this season left April 6 so it may be awhile before you get current info. We took advantage of the shuttle in Sept 2019. I don't have any of the details about the schedule. I recall disembarking the ship and seeing many buses lined up for the various tour options, so we looked for the one that indicated Livorno Railway Station. We didn't have to wait long before it filled up and left. Dropped us at the train station and the driver said the pick up would be in the same spot. When we ret'd from our visit to Florence and Pisa, we didn't have to wait long before the bus showed up. Pretty darn easy. Pricey for what it was, but more efficient than shuttle to town, then bus to station.
Leath21 Posted April 14, 2023 Author #4 Share Posted April 14, 2023 Thank you @euro cruiser and @mapleleaves. I saw the (your?) posts about it happening in 2019 - am feeling hopeful that it is still a thing in 2023.
