Breakfast

French toast

IMG_9554.thumb.jpeg.360aaf8ac699ca5ab040c1a9bfea7def.jpeg

In two previous post I bragged about how they got the grits right — well history did not repeat itself this morning.  The grits were okay but just a little too watery.  I ate them but they were no where as flavorful as before.

Two eggs over easy, pork link sausage, and grits.

Happy Cinco de Mayo — and to celebrate please join me with a Fire & Ice

It’s strawberry muddled with jalapeño, Patron Silver, Grand Mariner, and a little sour mix.  Shake well and serve with slices of jalapeño, lime, and strawberry.   DELICIOUS

A one day rental with pickup at San Pedro and dropoff at LAX is $100 total for a full size car for the dates we need next May.  This is for Enterprise.  It's a little high and I certainly wouldn't want to rent a car for a week.  My wife's employer will get us $10 off on that.  Enterprise will pick you up for free (link) so there's that.

We rented from Enterprise in San Pedro a couple of weeks ago when we got back from our cruise.   They told us they were no longer picking up, so we just cabbed over - I think it was $16.  We had an appointment for pickup - 9:30 AM, several people were there before us but they took us as we had the “earlier “ appointment.  Price was $110 for a Toyota RAV.

Thank you very much for this information.  What time did you show up to the Enterprise office--earlier or later than 9:30am?  I presume you didn't do self walk off but rather disembarked with your assigned group?

Disembarked with our group - off at about 9, got luggage and out of the terminal in about 5 minutes, but then had to wait about 10 minutes for a cab.  Got to Enterprise around 9:35, so 5 minutes later than our appointment.

Lunch today in Luminae

My DW was not that hungry so only ordered an entree.  I started with the Lobster roll served as a salad — my favorite way of eating it.

IMG_9557.thumb.jpeg.b2c917fb14aa1e626d4c4d2d2553eeac.jpeg

My DW ordered the Pad Thai from the MDR menu.

She said the noodles were a little harder than she liked but the flavor was good and she cleaned the plate.

I order the Steak, medium rate, Frites

For dessert we both went, once again, with the Key Lime Pie from the MDR.

New topic, Anyone boarding the Millennium this summer is in for a treat via onboard entertainment.

Duo Rio is a delightful couple who sing in Rendezvous and the Sunset. YouTube channel here for a sneak peak https://youtube.com/@duorio7691.

VVO the two aerialists also phenomenal. Their 45 minute performance last night was just awesome.

They're wonderful. How do you know they'll be on board all summer? I love duos like this.

Found out I had $21 OBC left and went back to the casino. 🫣

Can someone PLEASE drag me off this ship now!? 😆

It was a pleasure participating in this thread and hope you all have a safe trip home tomorrow.

Damn, I wish I had your luck.  I had $3.00 in casino credit.  Got it up to $5.00 and then lost it all.

This was waiting in the cabin as a goodbye present!

We did not get anything in our room tonight at all.  I wonder how they decided who got those notices and who did not?

Well, my neighbors' cabin was the one with the bag of "Biohazard - Infectious Waste" in the hallway, but I only heard them coughing and sneezing unless they had Noro as well. Still strange they wouldn't give the notice to everybody.

Thank you DaKahuna (and others) for taking the time to share your cruise with us.  I've really enjoyed following along.  My DH and I have a B2B (23 nights) booked on the Millie next year, in the Retreat, and this thread has given us a good insight into what to expect.  We've especially enjoyed your food porn.  Yum!  Safe travels to you all.

Later at 10am this morning: "Captain, there's a passenger in the casino who refuses to get off the ship--they're insisting that a certain slot machine be turned back on...."

I meant to watch the portcam as you sailed in. I can see Millennium now, but that battleship is in the way.

Radiance should be arriving soon as she is  just entering the channel.

Is there a fairly large number of walk off passengers?

Never mind, too early to ask

Not too early to ask.  When I came down for breakfast at 0640, the line was already down to the casino from the mid-deck exit.

They just announced the ship has been cleared and walkoff guest can depart the ship.
