Rare DaKahuna Posted May 5, 2023 Author #726 Share Posted May 5, 2023 Breakfast French toast In two previous post I bragged about how they got the grits right — well history did not repeat itself this morning. The grits were okay but just a little too watery. I ate them but they were no where as flavorful as before. Two eggs over easy, pork link sausage, and grits. This is for Enterprise. It's a little high and I certainly wouldn't want to rent a car for a week. My wife's employer will get us $10 off on that. Enterprise will pick you up for free (link) so there's that. We rented from Enterprise in San Pedro a couple of weeks ago when we got back from our cruise. They told us they were no longer picking up, so we just cabbed over - I think it was $16. We had an appointment for pickup - 9:30 AM, several people were there before us but they took us as we had the “earlier “ appointment. Price was $110 for a Toyota RAV.

Thank you very much for this information. What time did you show up to the Enterprise office--earlier or later than 9:30am? I presume you didn't do self walk off but rather disembarked with your assigned group?

Disembarked with our group - off at about 9, got luggage and out of the terminal in about 5 minutes, but then had to wait about 10 minutes for a cab. Got to Enterprise around 9:35, so 5 minutes later than our appointment.
Rare DaKahuna Posted May 5, 2023 Author #731 Share Posted May 5, 2023 Lunch today in Luminae My DW was not that hungry so only ordered an entree. I started with the Lobster roll served as a salad — my favorite way of eating it. My DW ordered the Pad Thai from the MDR menu. She said the noodles were a little harder than she liked but the flavor was good and she cleaned the plate. I order the Steak, medium rate, Frites For dessert we both went, once again, with the Key Lime Pie from the MDR.

Duo Rio is a delightful couple who sing in Rendezvous and the Sunset. YouTube channel here for a sneak peak https://youtube.com/@duorio7691. VVO the two aerialists also phenomenal. Their 45 minute performance last night was just awesome. They're wonderful. How do you know they'll be on board all summer? I love duos like this.

I would also like to thing my fellow passengers who contributed content to this review. Here is my final dose of food porn for those of you still following along. Dinner in Luminae Amuse Bouche — hame and cheese croquet Starters Pork Belly for DW Off menu special order - grilled octopus and classic Caesar Salad Main courses Turbot for the DW and Bucatani for me The Almond Cake for DW And I went off menu and had two scoops of vanilla gelato, express, and Bailey’s .

Well, my neighbors' cabin was the one with the bag of "Biohazard - Infectious Waste" in the hallway, but I only heard them coughing and sneezing unless they had Noro as well. Still strange they wouldn't give the notice to everybody.
madat Posted May 6, 2023 #741 Share Posted May 6, 2023 Thank you DaKahuna (and others) for taking the time to share your cruise with us. I've really enjoyed following along. My DH and I have a B2B (23 nights) booked on the Millie next year, in the Retreat, and this thread has given us a good insight into what to expect. We've especially enjoyed your food porn. Yum! Safe travels to you all.

Rare Fly and Sail Posted May 6, 2023 #743 Share Posted May 6, 2023 Good morning from San Pedro. We have just arrived at the pier, and clearance will most likely will take another 1-2h before we can walk off and the first group with baggage can disembark. Rare mahdnc Posted May 6, 2023 #744 Share Posted May 6, 2023 (edited) Is there a fairly large number of walk off passengers? Never mind, too early to ask Edited May 6, 2023 by mahdnc
Rare mahdnc Posted May 6, 2023 #745 Share Posted May 6, 2023 (edited) I meant to watch the portcam as you sailed in. I can see Millennium now, but that battleship is in the way. Radiance should be arriving soon as she is just entering the channel. Edited May 6, 2023 by mahdnc
