Sitka--tours offered at bus drop off?

We just wandered around town last Sept & would like to see more this year.

Our ship excursions seem terribly overpriced & many already sold out 5 months ahead of time!

Where the shuttle bus drops you--are there tour booths there?

I just don't remember!

The ships bus in Sitka drops you off in town at the convention center.  There should be a bus for a fee to take you on the loop from the Fortress of the Bears to the Raptor Center and back.  You can also walk through the totem park to the Raptor Center.  The Fortress of the Bears is farther out.  I don’t  remember any tour vendors  other than the loop bus (which is a good deal).  No booths like in Juneau.

Sitka isn't really a cruise ship town.  No Diamonds International or Chinese-made souvenir malls.  Excursions are pretty much limited to in town activities such as walks, food tours, dance show, local sights, and the eagles and bears that you could easily do on your own. There are a few adventure tours such as the fast ocean boat and kayaking, and the Allen Marine otter tour.  The fast boat and Allen Marine may be exclusive to the cruise lines.  I've never seen them selling tickets in town.
