ARI421 Posted April 24, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2023 We haven't sailed NCL in forever doing Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. I am trying to do my homework to see what's changed.. We are on the NCL Sun out of Seattle to Alaska.. I know I can dress however I want every day but there used to be 2 days called To dress or Not dress or something silly lime that where people tended to dress nicer and there were photos etc it looks like those are gone? Can someone give me some insight on that.. I don't ever remember there being so many drink packages.. and now it looks like you don't even get basic bottled water with the free at sea package? That seems a bit crazy to me! Thanks for all the info!
Rare YVRteacher Posted April 24, 2023 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2023 They are called Dress Up or Not Nights and are typically on the second day. Photographers will be set up most nights and very few people will dress up on an Alaska cruise.
Rare YVRteacher Posted April 24, 2023 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2023 Do you have a specific question about the drink packages?
ggTexasGal Posted April 24, 2023 #4 Share Posted April 24, 2023 Perhaps this "sample" NCL flyer will give you an idea of what is available on each of the two different packages available: (NOTE: "subject to change") https://www.ncl.com/sites/default/files/790164-BEV_Package_Flyer_UOBP_PPBP_Update_FINAL_2_6_23_1.pdf
arpie05 Posted April 24, 2023 #5 Share Posted April 24, 2023 There used to be a rule about the main dining room that Jeans weren't allowed. Is there any restaurants that do not allow Jeans?
Rare genealogyfan Posted April 24, 2023 #6 Share Posted April 24, 2023 Jean are allowed in all the restaurants. There are certain specialty restaurants where they don't allow shorts. I was at Le Bistro the first night of embarkation and some people behind me said they hadn't gotten their luggage yet, so they were allowed to go into Le Bistro with shorts. One main change, is there is only one cleaning of your cabin per day. There is no turn down service. I talked with my cabin steward and they don't like it. They have alot more cabins to clean and they don't have time to even leave the ship and see the ports anymore.
mjkacmom Posted April 24, 2023 #7 Share Posted April 24, 2023 I don’t think water was ever included in the regular drink package, you used to be able to bring it on but no longer. If you get the free at sea package you can bring on unlimited bottles of wine with no corkage fee.
