I have read that Les Trois Ilets is a nice beach, is it close to the pier? could you tell me a little about this beach? Will be there in 1 1/2 weeks......thank you for any info.

La Pointe-du-Bout is in les Trois-Ilets, across the Fort-de-France bay. You can take the shuttle boat to get there. You can go to the hotel beach or go to the public beach which is at Anse Mitan (a shuttle goes there). You'll find restaurants, bars, souvenirs and other. I hope this help:)

Do any of the beaches in the area rent umbrellas and chairs?

you can rent chairs and umbrellas at hotel beaches.

On public beaches, you'll need a towel and find the good tree to have shadow!!:D
