Going solo?

Have you ever been to the solo gatherings on RC? What would you say is the age range?

 

Normally I go on NCL when I cruise solo but there are some summer sailings this June roundtrip from Haifa on Rhapsody that look tempting. 

 

 

 

I went on a Princess Cruise solo last summer and went to the solo meets. People were nice but a lot older than me vs when I would go to the solo meets with NCL where I met people to go out on night with and share excursions with. 

 

I don't book excursions through the cruise ship so that's not a way for me to meet people. I'm not sure if I would be likely to meet others around my age (30s) or not because the itinerary has 1 at sea day and the rest of the days are in port where the ship is there until 4-9 PM. I imagine the solo gatherings aren't the most active on sailings like this.

They have a solo lunch and all the people I met were over 40-50 but each night they had a singles get together at a bar and there were some about your age.

I travel solo a lot and it is easy to meet people if you book excursions through the ship.  Good idea anyways as they guarantee waiting for your return.
