Cunard Britannia Club Class

We booked Britannia Club on a Transatlantic Cruise Fall 2024.  There seems to be very little information about this class.  Has anyone done this?  Was it a good idea?  Do you have a separate dining room?  How was that experience?

On QM2 the Britannia Club dining rooms are on deck 2 to aft of main Britannia Restaurant (MDR). Port side has a dividing wall from MDR, those in deck 12 cabins are generally seated there. Starboard has more of a room divider with large plant pots separating it from MDR and deck 13 cabins are usually seated there. Each side has a section that feels like a segment of the MDR and another through a wide opening that was a bit more secluded.

The food should be the same as MDR except in evenings when there is an extra, a la carte, always on section. Some dishes on that have to be pre ordered at lunchtime.

You are allocated a table, which is yours for all meals, and you can eat at any time you choose during advertised hours.

We did 14 nights B2B crossings and ate all meals in the slightly more open section of the port side restaurant except one lunch when we opted to miss lunch and have afternoon tea instead.

We were very happy with that and will do exactly the same in future.

We were also happy with the cabin location on deck 12. Having experienced many rough North Sea ferry crossings we don't really notice movement on a ship like QM2.

One other benefit was that BC also gets priority check in, so we joined a shorter line with grills passengers. Boarding was after grills and those with upper level Cunard memberships.

We are avid Britannia Club Cabin passengers since around 2008. We personally like it over the Britannia Class for several reasons.

First, we prefer the location of cabins on Deck 12. Second, we prefer the dining room assigned table for all three meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) when we are not dining at one of the optional locations ex. Kings Courts, Golden Lion etc... Third, the open times for dinner (630 to 9PM) for dinner time. That instead of the to seating times in the Main Britannia Dining Room. Fourth, a more quieter location to dine in the rear Britannia Main Dining Room where it is located. Fifth, additional menu choices offered and some Tableside dishes prepped w Flambe Service. The cabin also has some beverage service with free water that also served for Coffee & Tea Tray located for your pleasure

Have continued to book from the first time to this next sailing in a month. The last sailing last September we had been treated to an upgrade to Princess Grill which we have been offered in the past. The next grade above Britannia Club.

As I have said above, there are two separate dining rooms for Britannia Club passengers. One set is on the Port Side and the other on the Starboard. Port Side is the larger one as starboard use to be part of the Britannia Main.

It is located at the aft of the ship by Elevator/Staircase D on Deck 2 right by the entrances of both sides.

Our several experiences have been very good. The waiters were very attentive to our needs. And our Maitre'd were always stopping by to see if we needed anything special. We were happy to have build up a good relationship with him during the sailing.
