Looking for a bathroom, The Bird ended up in the Trash Room.

All trash from passenger cabins and public trash cans is sorted by hand. Glass is sorted by color and crushed. Plastics and aluminum crushed. Cardboard is sorted by whether it has been contaminated by food. Things that can be incinerated go into pile. NCL works with vendors to minimize packing material.

The Bird found a great bar called The Cove that serves discounted drinks. It has live music every night with different groups performing. Foosball without a card reader.  A great place to socialize!

The Cove is the crew bar, larger of the two crew entertainment areas. Part of your DSC goes to monthly crew parties with free drinks, food, entertainment.

The Bird needed to do some laundry and found the not-self-serve laundry on Deck 2.

The large presses take the damp tablecloths and sheets, drys the, presses them, and folds them automatically.

The school bus-sized washer has 12 compartments and the laundry is automatically advanced between compartments. At the end, the damp laundry is automatically sent one deck up to be dried and pressed.

Choir of Man continues to be the only production show on the ship. The installment of a replacement for After Midnight has been delayed several times with no ETA. The ship continues to use guest performers with contracts of 2-5 weeks. The After Midnight dressing room is being used by guest performers until a permanent production show is installed.

Choir of Man - the current cast has two weeks left on their contract. There is no overlap between casts, one disembarks and the new cast embarks on the same day. The new cast will have a few days to rehearse on the real set before their first performance.

Syds Pourhouse has a new cast that embarked a week ago. There are 84 numbers in their set list and they are slowly building up to that each week.

The Elton John tribute show is in week 2 of 5 weeks. The Birds recognize that the group lead used to be a member of the Choir of Man cast on the Escape and Encore and now has his own Elton John show.

There is a not-well-publishized public sun deck on Deck 19 and 20 with forward facing views and two hot tubs cantilevered over the side of the ship

Sneak Atrack!

IMG_4923.thumb.jpeg.d6aa76c5119bec42a8869f929bac2743.jpeg

The Washy Washy look so innocent and non-threatening. You offer you hands to them in a sign of respect. You watch as they place their finger on the trigger.

You are expecting the cool evaporation of hand sanitizer. As they pull the trigger, a stream of…… liquid soap hits your hands. And you are forced to stop at the sink to wash it off. Tricky!

The pool deck has two pools. The first is an Adults pool. This pool has a shallow ledge to sit and enjoy your drink. And a regular pool to cool off.

The main pool is flaked by two hot tubs which are usually overflowing with guests and spilled beer.
