Just for fun, here is another "eye candy" sample from my files for traveling along this area. As I recall, this is a luxury hotel with great views along this coast.  What is not to love in this region??

Another dream destination- Ravello!  Spent one day there and would love to go back.

Appreciate this encouragement and follow-up.  We have not been to Zadar and Trieste, but can share more for historic and dramatic Dubrovnik.  Below are some of my "eye candy" visuals to help build up the excitement for exploring there.  More can be seen on the posted link shown below.

We started with a local cab driver who gave us a “panoramic tour”, including driving up and up through narrow twisting roads to the high point overlooking Dubrovnik and near the cable car high station. From this point, we could also see part of Bosnia and and Montenegro. The “super star” view was down below with this angle of the harbor and walled city. Beautiful!!!:

This is Dubrovnik’s Pile Gate as the grand western entrance to the walled city.  Did the amazing Wall Walk for great views in and around Dubrovnik.:

Great photos- thanks for the information re Dubrovnik! I hope its as spectacular during Fall!
