Website - CDC Vessel Sanitation Program

I've noticed the CDC cruise ship 'scores' when looking up cruise reviews on CC, but had never before taken the time to check out their website. Frequent cruisers may know all about it, but for those who don't, here's a link to the site. I actually got to the CDC VSP site from the CDC's Travelers' Health website that I was looking at.

http://www.cdc.gov/nceh/vsp/default.htm

You can check out when ships were last inspected and how scores compared between cruise lines and on different Princess ships. You can read why different ships had points deducted and how their corrective actions addressed them. Not being in the food/hotel industry, it was interesting reading what was evaluated, from fly/cockroach sightings, food storage and preparation, cleanliness, ship maintainence...

Also, on the site's "Gastrointestinal Illness Update" link you can view current and historic information about GI illnessess among passengers and crew.

Interesting website for those who like details and have some free time to check it out. :)
