Transportation from Southampton Princess ship to Southampton airport

We arrive via Princess ship on Saturday in Southampton early September. Need to pick up rental car at Southampton airport.   9 am. What’s the best way and approximate cost for two adults?  Should we carry off our luggage?  Thank you.

Easiest would be to jump in a cab outside the cruise terminal, or get an Uber. It’s about a 20 minute journey. Right now Uber is quoting £12, though obviously it may be more at peak cruise arrival time.

 

Unless it’s essential that you’re on the road by 9am I wouldn’t worry about carrying off your luggage. The rental car company isn’t going to mind if you’re a bit late. And most ships want everyone off by not long after 9 anyway.

In Canada and US, our choice car rental with National, Enterprise will hold car for at least four hours.  And with flight delays we have never had an issue. Maybe different rules in Uk but do the walk off.
