Hi, I’ll be taking mg first-ever cruise on the Onward in July. I read on the Turkish travel info site, that Turkey requires a visa for tourists from the USA that are staying more than 72 hours in Turkey. The ship is spending 72 hours in Turkey and after we disembark, I’ll be staying an additional 3 nights in a city center hotel. Anybody know if I should get an E-Visa? Do hotel check/in people ask you for your visa information or inquire about your travel itinerary?

Simple answer: Get the visa.

Doing so avoids any possibility of problems.
