Port Canaveral Terminal 5 is now PAY ON ENTRY! Yay

Gone are the sometimes hour-long wait to exit the garage after a cruise!

A few weeks ago Terminal 5 joined Terminals 1, 3, 8, and 10 in accepting payments (credit cards only) as you enter the garage. 

Let's hope Terminal 6 is happening soon!

That's great news. I had always encountered Pay At Entry at Port Canaveral but my last cruise was surprised to find Pay on Departure. Only makes sense. Everyone arrives for their cruise at different times throughout the day but everybody leaves the cruise at basically the same time!

Someone mentioned that on the Facebook group for our sailing and wondered where they heard it... then they pointed me to the Mariner Port Canaveral Facebook group and a lot of people were talking about it.  At first I wasn't sure what I thought about it, but then thinking the advantages of possibly getting out sooner upon leaving made me realize this is probably a good thing 🙂

 

This is out first time out of Port Canaveral and we sail in one week from today, so I'll try to report back here after we get back, to let you know our experience (hopefully a smooth one).
