I understand inflation but come on!!!

Recommended Posts

On liberty seas right now. Ordered 12 pack water before we left. It was 22.99 plus 4.13 tax total 27.13 Outrageous but convenient. They have 24 pack which would double it I would think.

bottles are Avian 500 ml or 16.9 fl only ounces. Small bottles. Also receives 4 complimentary diamond plus bottles by system you have to call to establish freebies. In our case 4 water and 1 bottle wine from their list. We set that years ago and it stays that way until you call rcl to change preferences. Those bottles were True Water I guess 12 ounces. Drank those I don’t recall. Someone should check Princess and see if they still are like $6 used to be and were big bottles. But that was at least 5 years ago.

We were advised by cruise director that patient was flown to Florida by helicopter. We were also advised 45 passengers and 10 crew answered the initial call for blood donors.

Don’t forget anything you need b cause ship prices, never inexpensive, are outrageous! Had to laugh t-shirts which were outside store 2 for $40 actually increased to now 2 for $45 another first. Can’t wait to see the traditional last day sea prices if discounted or rather ssd again. Lol

BTW an aside. Saw many mixed reviews of new menus prior to sailing. Our thoughts on day 6 absolutely hate new menu and food preparation. Even when item sounds like something I would like upon arrival turns out not be be anything like description. Have sent two entrees back. Something I have never had to do in over 100 cruises multiple lines. This is starting to feel like a good way to diet, cruising RCL

I pre ordered water this year for all my cruises at 11.99 for 12.  Next years are going for 30.99 for 12.  That’s not inflation.  That’s price gouging.  I guess we will be back to carrying on our 12 bottles. I’m not paying that much. With an additional 4 we’ll get by and just use them for excursions. Does anyone know the recent price on board?  Didn’t it used to be $2 plus tip?

I wonder if this is not Royal also  trying to discourage people from buying the water package. We all know turn around day is crazy. Just watching all the trucks line up to resupply the ship is amazing. Cases of water take up  a huge amount of space and weigh a ton. We also know that room attendants now have more rooms to cover. Is this a way of Royal trying to say we have better things for the room attendants to do than lug cases of water around the ship. I am sure their is also profit motivation and if people are willing to pay it then keep raising prices. However I cant help but think they also are trying to lower the number of cases of water as the room attendants are busy enough on turn around day. Maybe they would rather have the passenger lug their own water on board then have to dedicate space in their ship store room for more water and have attendants lug those things around in addition to having to do things like move luggage around. Just a thought
