H/C transport in Hilo Hawaii

We are booking with Sunshine Helicopters in Hilo, they have a lift.

 

Does anyone know if there is a lift-equipped vehicle to get from the dock to heliport?

The hele on bus (public bus system) is accessible. Not sure of the routes but know some folks who took it to the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut place (which I have to say is a big "don't bother" after seeing it last month). You can call and ask them about their routes. Here is their website.

I will prob (bus schedule looks daunting) just use a manual chair and take a taxi. I used your recommendation (Queenie) to book with Sunshine, they sure are a friendly bunch!!

Yes, Sherry they are very friendly. I like them. They pretty much do whatever they need to for customers -- all customers. And the pilots are cool too -- it's not like they give you a canned tour -- they all add something to it.
