Transport from Houston to Galveston for Carnival September Sailing

Hi all-

 

This is my first time sailing out of Galveston and looking for info on transport from Houston to Galveston port.  Not really into doing shuttle as we don't like waiting on other people - yes I know it's a problem..... LOL

 

Any info on cost of Uber for two?  There might also be one or two other couples joining which will change the criteria to a private limo service?  

 

Any help is appreciated!
