Your departure flight out of YVR is at 8:00 a.m.? (We are staying one night post-cruise).

Do you still think all the lines for check-in, customs and security will be sooooo long? My destination is New York, BTW.

Since I'll be way ahead of that morning's crowd of people disembarking, arriving two hours ahead of departure (6:00 a.m. ) in this instance may be premature.

I'd be most interested in your views.

I don't think you will be too early at 6am for an 8am flight. YVR does have an extensive transborder service, so it would be wise to give yourself some time. By having to check-in, clear security, and clear US immigration, I wouldn't want to chance arriving too late.

I have done early flights to the US frequently from YVR. I usually arrive about 90 minutes before flight time, and have time to spare. You will be ahead of the cruise ship pax, so that won't be a problem.

Most of the heavy aircraft from Asia arrive and depart between about 10 and 3. During those hours it can get much more crowded, especially for arrivals.
