My experience in YC has been nothing short of wonderful. I guess its based on expectations??  Ive never cruised in Haven or Retreat so I have nothing to compare YC to

We swiched from the Haven to the Yacht Club when we found out that a week in the Haven on Epic costed 3000$ more than a week on the then brand new Meraviglia. We were not disappointed.

Now we haven't cruised in a few years, because of Covid, so it will be interesting to see how the experience on World Europa is, embarkation in less than three weeks!

I posted this on another topic heading. It would be interesting to read your observations on World Europa as it will mirror our upcoming World America bookings.

Here is another potential problem exacerbating the crowded situation on cruise ships. Been reading social media from those traveling in the Yacht Club on World Europa, sister ship to the new World America. It appears that the YC venues are the same square footage while the number of guests will be doubled. Perhaps we should just 'suck it up' and enjoy the "Sea".....ships because the worst is yet to come.

In addition, I have read on another cruise site the importance of a ship's 'space ratio'. Over all, not YC portion, the space ratio of the World America is 34.2. Less than 33 means crowded in areas. Greater than (>) 39 means plenty of space for each passenger. When a ship is not sailing at capacity the space ratio can be as good as 41. These details are very difficult to ascertain before one books a ship and date well in advance. We just have to go with more postings like these.

However the space ratio is determined by taking the gross tonnage of a vessel divided by passenger capacity. World America's gross tonnage is 215,863 / 6762 passengers = 31.92 space ratio. Supposed to be 34.2 as stated above. We will just have to see.....

Just to put it in perspective. MSC Explora 1  gross tonnage 63,900/922 passengers = 69.3 space ratio  (more room to dance).

I think it is because a pleasure craft and a car ferry had a collision in the port entrance, hence all traffic has been halted in or out of the port. So no one on the ships has gotten off to retrieve their vehicles at the usual 7 am time for disembarkations. Also it behooves many to take notice of potential problems like this for not booking flights out of airport in the morning.

Just received a call from MSC to not arrive at port for another 3hrs

it is currently 10:50am

We had to park top deck of Garage G as Garage D was closed off

DW just taking a stroll to terminal E to see what or if anything happening there

Just to clarify, just updating with info, we know we will be waiting around and that’s ok

We will board when we board 😎

Well

here is the logic

Carnival are using F and G

MSC are using D and C

One for disembarkation the other for boarding

And buses between the two terminals for each ship

NCL are using two terminals also

Terminal AA/AAA – MSC Cruises (2023)

Terminal A – Royal Caribbean | The Crown of Miami

Terminal B – Norwegian Cruise Line | The Pearl of Miami

Cruise Terminal C – Disney Cruise Line | MSC

Terminals D & E – Carnival, Princess Cruises, P&O, Holland America Line

Terminal F – Carnival Cruises

Terminal G – Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises

Terminal J – small vessels and luxury cruises (Oceania Cruises, Regent Seven Seas)

Terminal K – Disney Cruise Line (2023)

Terminal V – Virgin Voyages | Palm Grove

Was told that Terminal E was built for the smaller Carnival cruise ships.

the logic is to have two terminals next to each other for each cruise line

Regardless of what NORMALLY docks where

Today is being done differently

Trust me we are here and obviously the port authority had a contingency in place to assist with the going’s on
