Do we need fleeces or Tshirts?

Yes.

The weather in Norway is notoriously varied and unpredictable. Anytime in the summer, it's recommended to dress in layers and plan for sun, rain, wind, chill, heat, etc. but August is especially hard to plan. Sometimes it can be over 30°C and sometimes it can be 15° with a strong wind chill.

The best option is to bring several layers that can be mixed together to match the conditions. A t-shirt (or even better, a moisture-wicking short-sleeved shirt) can be worn under a fleece when it's cold but not windy. Replace the fleece with a windproof/waterproof shell when it's not too cold, but there's a strong breeze or wet weather. Wear all three together when it's cool and wet/windy.

Consider also bringing a buff (neck gaiter), beanie or toque, and some thin gloves. The scenery is the draw in the fjords, so you'll want to be comfortable being outside on a moving ship, which can feel much colder than the weather forecast suggests.

Last year we did the Hurtigruten 13 day Coastal Express.  We had cold, wet, windy weather in Bergen and Alesund, mild cloudy weather in Trondheim and Tromso, sunny cool weather further north and wonderful summer weather in Oslo.  We checked the weather just before we left the US and knew that we would face cold and rain.  We added extra rain gear.  Kaisatsu's advice in #4 is right on point.
