Rare budmeister Posted July 10, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 10, 2023 Hi, There are quite a ew ships in port on our day in Santorini- September 14th. We are on the Infinity, which is in port until 10:00pm. I am debating about an early dinner in Fira or Oia around 4:30 pm, and aiming to get the the cable cars about 6:30, to get on ship by 8:00. I expect 9:00pm to be boarding. Clearly, I do not have 2-3 hours for a cable car wait if we have dinner. Any thoughts on whether it is necessary around 6:30, or whether I should skip the dinner idea? I was thinking about making a reservation for dinner as I expect so many people to be around, but my common sense says to just go with the flow and see what is going on at the time. Thanks for your thoughts!
Malleykatt Posted July 10, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 10, 2023 (edited) Have a look at the time everyone else is leaving as well as size of ship. cruisemapper.com/ports They have an hour between departures scheduled so there will be a constant flow heading for the cable car. We walked down but you need good light to see where you are going. Edited July 10, 2023 by Malleykatt

MeHeartCruising Posted July 10, 2023 #4 Share Posted July 10, 2023 (edited) Worst case, are you willing and able to do a 30 minute walk down the donkey path? (I've done it and it wasn't awful, but opinions vary). I think your suggested timing should work. But just in case it doesn't...
