DonnaK Posted July 13, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2023 (edited) I always bring a hairdryer; it is not on the disallowed list. There is a hairdryer in the room, but it isn't a strong one, and it doesn't have a concentrator nozzle, and you have to hold the button in the on position while you are using it. So much easier to just use my own. PS: I also bring a hair straightener. Edited July 13, 2023 by DonnaK

While not specifically mentioned, it does produce heat and has a heating element, right? So, it should be confiscated. The only exceptions are curling irons and straighteners. In the last paragraph on page 10, it says "Curling irons and hair dryers are allowed." https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/pdf/guest-conduct-policy.pdf

My pre-cruise, emailed booklet does not specifically mention hair dryers at all, just nothing that produces heat -- except straighteners and curling irons. I guess I'm not shocked that different sources say different things.
Ashland Posted July 14, 2023 #6 Share Posted July 14, 2023 The hair dryers onboard (most ships now) are Conair 1875..I have the exact one at home and it works fine. Also they have a switch so you no longer have to hold the button down continuously.
cruisegirl1976 Posted July 14, 2023 #7 Share Posted July 14, 2023 I usually always bring my own hair dryer as the one on board never seem strong enough.. and seems to take forever to dry my hair.
