How late may one disembark on Med itineraries?

My husband and I will be cruising the Med on Splendida out of Bari this fall. We will not be in YC for this one as the lack of YINs on Splendida put the price point a bit higher than I'd like so we're going Fantastica balcony. We arrive in Bari at 8am, but the earliest train I was able to get from Bari to Rome leaves at 1pm. I know we need to vacate our stateroom on the earlier side, but I've seen mixed messages on whether or not we could still stay on the ship until closer to our train's departure time. It seems this would be no problem in YC, but for those of us in gen pop I've seen about 50/50. Any recent experiences? We'd likely want to stay until 11:30am or noon.

As you mentioned it is usually OK to stay on ship while in YC.

 

When sailing steerage I believe they disable your onboard account at some point but I guess nobody will be chasing you onboard?

We sailed into Malaga in April and remained onboard until around 11.30am. Our sailing was on Lirica so not an option to be YC and we'd no issue having drinks before disembarkation.

Perfect, thank you! I know there are never any guarantees with MSC, but this is encouraging and really so long as we can kill some time onboard instead of at the train station, I'll be a happy camper.
