docBarb Posted July 26, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2023 (edited) I am trying to book some scuba diving for our port call in Puerto Plata and the dive shop asked which port Taino or Amber Cove? Does anyone know this? We will be on the Mariner. Thanks, Barbara Edited July 26, 2023 by docBarb
cAPS lOCK oN Posted July 26, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 26, 2023 Our Splendor cruise in March docked at Taino.
cAPS lOCK oN Posted July 26, 2023 #3 Share Posted July 26, 2023 And I seem to remember that Amber Cove was built exclusively for Carnival.

docBarb Posted July 27, 2023 Author #5 Share Posted July 27, 2023 (edited) I called Regent. They said Tiano. Also stated that is subject to change. Edited July 27, 2023 by docBarb

They will always say subject to change just as a CYA. But Amber Cove is Carnival's private "island" in DR, so you will definitely dock at Taino. From cruisehive.com: "This private 30-acre retreat is exclusively offered as a port of call to cruisers with Carnival and its sister companies."
