Booking on board for next cruise and Next Cruise

I am currently on the Oasis.  I thought if I booked on the cruise I would get a reduced deposit for a jr suite next yr on another cruise. However the agent told me that it did not apply and my deposit was 10%  of the fare but I got a small credit,  I showed her the Next Cruise sheet I got with my boarding packet that I thought meant deposit was around $200 but  she said that was different and if I did that I  then needed to call RCCL directly to book a cruise.  If anyone can clarify this it would be appreciated.    Thank you.

The reduced deposit only applies to "regular" cabins - the deposit rules for suites changed earlier this year.
