Cruise Insurance

We need to get cruise insurance for a future cruise. We are 80/81 and have no pre-existing conditions.  

The insurance is required by the cruise line and must be considered 'cruise insurance'.

The cost of travel insurance is determined at least in part by age, amount insured, and length of travel. Also, insurance is a regulated industry so you are not likely to see much variation in premiums for similar coverage. At age 80, it won’t be “reasonably priced” if you mean inexpensive.

 

Be sure you understand the definition of pre-existing conditions as applied by insurance companies before you decide you don’t need the coverage. If you file a claim, your medical records will be examined for a specified number of days preceding the effective date the policy. Anything contributing to the cause of your claim will be used as a basis for denial without a pre-existing conditions waiver.

 

What provisions does your cruise line require in order for a policy to be considered “cruise insurance” as opposed to a standard comprehensive travel policy?

There's no such plan that is 'cruise insurance'. All Trip Cancellation plans cover all kinds of trips.
