hinterlandboyz2 Posted July 31, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2023 Hello to all cruisers reading this. Our question is for Princess cruisers who have had Hong Kong as a one day port of call during 2023. We are aware that the cruise terminal where Princess docks' is a little way from Kowloon so our question is this, does Princess Cruises offer their passengers a shuttle service from the cruise terminal to Kowloon and if not what is the best way for a passenger to get from the terminal to any place that would have public transport to Kowloon. We don't use taxi's and they are usually too expensive and we do enjoy riding on public transport. All relevant answers to our question are most welcome. SCX22 Posted July 31, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2023 The cruise ship terminal is in Kowloon, the Kai Tak district where the former airport was. As you have said, there is nothing touristy here. You have to go to Tsim Tsa Tsui area of Kowloon. When we stopped here on the Majestic Princess pre-pandemic, there were free shuttles to the Grand Waterfront Plaza. From there, we walked to and MTR station (can't remember name) and took it to East Tsim Tsa Tsui, no transfer required. From there we walked and took the Star Ferry to Hong Kong Island. There's no direct MTR from that side of Kowloon to Hong Kong Island, which is why we took the Star Ferry.

Gwendy Posted August 1, 2023 #4 Share Posted August 1, 2023 As stated terminal is back of beyond. However we found taxis were quite reasonable. There is a site on the internet where you can put in your arrival and destination and get an approximate fare. On a one day stop sometimes the time saved by using a taxi over the MRT is sometimes worth it. If you can try to go on the double decker “ding ding” trams, a worthwhile experience.
