Booking a private excursion....

My question to you expert cruisers is......This is my first time booking a private excursion. We'll be docking in Tortolat at 7:00am and my excursion starts at 10:30am....I know when the ship first docks there's usually cabs there waiting for you or people to take you on private excursions but how hard or easy is it to get a cab a little later (9:30ish) are there always cabs hanging around or no???This Private booking stuff is SCARY!!!
