Boarding times

Hi. We have received an email advising our checkin time. We sail from Kiel and we're wondering if they are strict with boarding times. We have been allocated quite a late one and would prefer to embark earlier to off load our luggage.  Thank you.

I once received allocation to check in at 01:30am at Dubai port when the cruise ship was at port for 2 consecutive days. Engage them and call them up! Request for an earlier time slot.

In my case, they instantly offered 15:30pm without wastage of long distance airtime.

I would have thought that you can hand your luggage in as soon as you get to the port, as long as there are staff available at that time. If you have a long wait to board there are plenty of shops, bars etc directly across the road from the port in Kiel.

Yesterday evening I got my own embarkation time for Kiel. At noon, while my train will (should?) arrive in Kiel at 1:43 PM. I asked by mail to adjust my embarkation time and this happened this morning already. Now I have an embarkation time with roughly 15 minutes extra for safety.
