SEAGURRL Posted August 12, 2023 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2023 I have a cruise in a few weeks and my travel buddy (SIL) has injured her knee and can't go. I have some questions that hopefully someone here has experience with. 1 - If SIL successfully makes an insurance claim (TBD) how, if at all, does that affect my portion of the cruise? 2 - If she is just a no show, how do we notify Celebrity? We haven't talked to them yet. And will that affect my portion? 3 - If I find someone to take her place, how is that done through Celebrity? Additional costs, considering we are past final payment date? 4 - Anything else I should be aware of or look into? Thanks for your help and/or comments. NantahalaCruiser Posted August 12, 2023 #2 Share Posted August 12, 2023 3- As long as you keep one of the original persons on your reservation you can change any other persons with no added cost 4- If you were to substitute someone else for your SIL, then she would have no insurance claim since her reservation was used. Thus whoever you substitute would need to reimburse her.
