Is there a good viewpoint for the Kilauea Lighthouse on Kauai without having to enter the preserve and make advance reservations?

The parking lot just outside of the gate. If you look at Google maps the are a couple of parking spots and 2 pictures. 1 labeled sunset paradise and one labeled Kilauea viewpoint.
