Good Cabin Location on Jewel?

Just booked an AF Mini Suite on the Jewel for our first cruise. It is Cabin 11060 and is located in the middle of the ship. Is this a good location? There were cabins towards the front of the ship also available but it seems I read somewhere that the middle is better. Or does it even matter?

IMO-Middle is better. Less motion in high seas and usually you'll be near an elevator or stairwell, which makes getting around somewhat easier. But to us, it's ususally not that big a deal either way. Sometimes a longer walk helps work off the extra food I eat ;)

When we were on the Jewel it was a pretty stable ride. Unless it get's really rough you should be fine.

BTW-lower decks in the center of the ship should have the least motion

The initial reviews pointed out the noise from the overhead treadmills. When we were on in Oct., they had just received shipment of these thick rubber mats as they had received quite a few complaints.

When DH used the fitness center last month, all those mats had been installed and we heard that the problem has been cleared up.

DH said they weren't thin little pads, either. Good buffers.
