Hello fellow cruisers,

Are there any preferred oceanview cabins or "best" (in your view) that you feel I should be looking at before I try to book a cruise on any of these ships?  May as well give it a go.  Never know, they may still be available. 🤷‍♀️  I don't care where they are on the ship but if they are perhaps bigger in size or a have a bigger window than normal that would be great.  Thanks in advance!

On the Island, Deck 6 (Fiesta) has some nice new Ocean View cabins.  The higher the number the better location (same for Diamond and Coral Princess).

If price doesn't matter, Window Suites on the Caribbean and the Gand Princess, Deck 6 (Fiesta) are the best in the Fleet (in my opinion).

Avoid low numbers on the Plaza Deck on Grand Class (and similar sister ships).

If:

You don't mind the walk

You don't mind motion

You don't mind people during the day.

The Caribbean Princess has some nice forward Ocean View cabins on Deck 8.  (E101-E114).  During the day, there are some people who walk on the Promenade Deck then climb the stairs to the bow of the ship.  Most do not bother to look into the cabins.  At night, they close the steps.  There will be no traffic.  You really won't have a "view" of the ocean, but it is unobstructed (walkway between you and the metal railing).  I don't know if the Island Princess has these forward cabins.  I heard there was a secret door that allows you out to the bow of the ship.

My preference would be the Caribbean Princess Plaza Deck Ocean View.  P301 to P336.  The higher the number, the less foot traffic since the hall dead ends in to the International Cafe or Vines.  I do not care for the Island Princess.  Love her sister ship the Coral.

Do be careful not to book a quad cabin.  I think the bunk beds drop from the ceiling, but not sure.
