back-at-it Posted September 3, 2023 #1 Share Posted September 3, 2023 I am a first time Royal cruiser. I booked a last minute cruise for next Saturday. The only check-in time I could get is 2:00 pm. How strict are they about showing up early? If we got there at 1:00 would they make us wait?

By then boarding will have already started and there should be no crowds for you to deal with. Plus the rooms should be ready when you get onboard….. PhillyFan33579 Posted September 3, 2023 #3 Share Posted September 3, 2023 I have been on 12 RCI cruises this year and have seen everything from check-in times strictly enforced to no one verifying check-in times. i have only cruised out of Florida ports this year. Most recently Port Miami has been pretty strict while Port Everglades and Port Canaveral have been a lot more relaxed with check-in times and subsequently a lot more hectic. Personally I always show up during my check-in window because you literally don’t stop walking from the time you park your car until you are on the ship. Thank you, it is Port of Miami that we are leaving from. Also just because we are driving to the port from Tampa area, I will be early, just in case.
