Doing dinner early tonight we are both hungry and my mom has some shopping events she wants to attend tonight.

Tuna was nice and fresh. Too small which is typical for this dish. I have more food coming though 😋 

 

Smoked pork loin and chicken marsala 550

 

 

 

My mom's blackened tilapia.

We did some doctoring of the dishes. I took the tilapia and Brussel sprouts and dirty rice and gave my mom the chicken and green beans and mashed potatoes. 

 

The fish didn't have a lot of spices but everything else on the dish did. 

 

Pork was a touch toilet dry.

 

Overall I still really enjoyed the dishes.

Tonight's fly on entertainer had travel delays. Comedy has been moved to the theater and karaoke has been moved to the comedy club.

 

I'm out of drinks. I was going to buy one in the duty free shop after security today. I have heard you are allowed to do that in Europe ports. They did not have anything I would drink, and we still had to go through security again on the ship so I am not sure if they would have confiscated it if I had tried. I may buy a bottle at dinner tomorrow. I'm not gonna stay out too late tonight anyway I don't think. I'm pretty tired.

Found one last cruiser in the fridge. Transfered it to the mobile bar with plans of getting a fresh one from the casino.

 

Casino has not opened yet and nearly every single machine has a body in it. I can't imagine how long it will take to get a drink so I'll just drink my leftover and reevaluate later.

We just finished the first leg of our B2B on the Venezia. It was an Elite cruise, and people were claiming their machines an hour before the ships even left port. Crazy! 😎

I'm used to a couple dozen die hards. This was almost the entire casino full waiting for the machines to come on. It is unreal.

 

I try to be understanding since I'm only here because the casino comped me and I know if they comped me, they only filled this thing by giving away rooms to gamblers 😆. It's still frustrating though when I want a drink.

For me it's not enjoyable to go on a premier or elite cruise.  I get the invites, then avoid those cruises.  I enjoy my time in the casino but I really don't enjoy it when it's overly crowded.

No chance of getting a drink if I need to be actively playing. I did not see a single machine without a body at it. 

 

Not feeling people-y right now so I'm sitting outside semi secluded listening to the waves crash against the ship.

I will never see an Elite invite. If I got a good deal on premier or ultra I would book them and know I won't be able to enjoy any playing time. My other offers are always better though so I book those and then it's luck of the draw  if it is busy.

I realize I'm in the smoking section but the other side is locked and I purposely sat at the end minus one because someone left an empty pack of cigarettes on the end table.

 

Oh thank goodness, he is leaving.

 

Gonna move the trash and hide the two closest ashtrays to me and see if I can have five minutes of fresh air.

Glad we do not gamble!  Even at the thought of a "free" cruise!

I agree that I did not enjoy the casino on a Premium cruise as much as a 'normal' cruise. I send more when I am relaxed and can go machine to machine. How do we check and see if cruise from Barcelona to Orlando is a specialty casino cruise?

It is also an Elite cruise. It is also a cruise that was offered to me as a comp more than a year out. Aka - everyone who gets offers got an offer of some kind 😆. 

 

I'm the same, I machine hop frequently. If I can't do that I don't enjoy it and I don't play.

I am so glad I played enough last cruise to upgrade to Drinks everywhere. My sister and I would have been miserable.  We will stay up late and get our machine time in. How are machines at 11 pm?

I got a good offer. Balcony and DOUE, OBC.  Not an elite. The elite cruise benefits looks great. But wow they have to spend alot. I don't spend a ton. Just around the amount of full price cabin and cheers. I just spend my money in a fun way. Lol
