American Queen-Packing Notes

I recently returned on the American Queen ship on the American Queen Voyages line, for the New Orleans to Memphis itinerary and sharing some on-board learnings that affect packing.  Hoping this helps some future cruisers on this ship.

  • Robe and slippers included - can be used for bathing suit cover-up and pool shoes
  • Shampoo, Creme Rinse and soap included in the bathroom
  • On board guest laundry facilities available at no additional fee (no folding area)
  • Refillable water bottle in room and hydration stations throughout ship
  • Dining attire, per travel guide it's "Country Club Casual" - this was not the case for the first dinner seating, people were dressed very casual.  Shorts and T-Shirts were common, no ties for the men and no heels for the women.  Most people were dressed more like business casual and for the women, there was some bling\sparkling accessories.
