Do short cruise have similar food options as Alaskan cruise?

Hi,

 

We visited Alaska for 7 days with Norwegian and loved it. Now I am looking at the shorter one in Princess, which goes from Seattle to Vancouver in 2 nights, just for experience.

 

When we took Alaska cruise, they have lot of vegetarian options, different dishes. I am wondering, do they have similar kind of services, especially food options, as Alaska ones? Or being short one (and cheaper too), it may not be similar?

Should be the same or similar options, but there will be some things missing. You are unlikely to see lobster tail, for example.

they will not have the destination specific menu items but the food should have similar variety & quality

Don’t expect lots of vegetarian options in a Princess MDR.

There is always 1 or 2 options but you can also ask for the chef to do something special but that would be pretty hard to arrange on such a short cruise

The buffet on the Lido deck will have many vegetarian options, but, of course, that’s not the MDR. Just an FYI for you. 
We are also doing this cruise, giving us an opportunity to visit family that we do not visit often enough.
