FannyLiz Posted September 17, 2023 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2023 I’m booked on the SoD Caribbean cruise in November. Should I take US or Caribbean dollars in cash or can I assume I can use my credit or Caxton card for anything I buy in port ? I have euro coins and notes left over from previous EU visits. Just about everywhere I've been in the Caribbean has taken US dollars. Martinique uses the Euro - can't remember if they take USD. If you pay in USD some places will give you your change in Caribbean dollars. Credit card can be used in most places.
Rare Windsurfboy Posted September 17, 2023 #3 Share Posted September 17, 2023 We are on same cruise, my plan is mainly US dollars and Euros for Maderia and Azores. Cash is needed for taxis , but elsewhere mainly credit card.
