clskinsfan Posted September 22, 2023 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2023 Ophelia has been upgraded to a tropical storm with 70 MPH winds. I am cruising our of Norfolk on Sunday. It appears she should be well north by that point. But could be a little rough heading out. And I am sure it will be rough for passengers on the Magic returning early Sunday morning. Rare JamieLogical Posted September 23, 2023 #3 Share Posted September 23, 2023 We are scheduled to fly to NYC tonight for our sailing on the Meraviglia tomorrow. Worried about delays and worried about how Ophelia will impact our first few port stops (Newport on Monday and Boston on Tuesday).
Aquarius_traveler129 Posted September 24, 2023 #4 Share Posted September 24, 2023 On the Joy right now on our way back. Seas are pretty rough and rain is kinda crazy. No announcements of not being able to disembark yet but I have a feeling we might be spending an extra night onboard…
SPacificbound Posted September 25, 2023 #5 Share Posted September 25, 2023 We got into NYC yesterday from Houston, were an hour late due to weather delay. We are staying in Midtown, rainy and foggy still. Hopefully by boarding day we will have some sun. We will be B2B on RC Jewel of the Seas.
Rare eileeshb Posted October 2, 2023 #6 Share Posted October 2, 2023 How is there Ophelia on the naming list again so soon? The last one was the first documented hurricane to track up the eastern side of the Atlantic and caused 3 deaths in Ireland, as well as much political grandstanding over surfers and windsurfers making the most of it on our East coast.
