Vabvag Posted September 23, 2023 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2023 I happened to see a fb feed about Royal Caribbean in the 80’s. I wasn’t cruising then, but it still made me a little melancholy for our first cruises in the early 2000… Too bad cruising “just ain’t what it used to be”. The cruise lines now seem to be trying to outdo one another on creating these floating city monstrosities. Want to know why the fares are so high? Take a look at one of the new ships like Icon! And the loyalty program; forget about it! Anyone can buy vip service now!!! I guess I’m just showing my age… the larger ships sell. Oh well, thanks for listening.

Couldn't agree that fares are so high, as Princess are now selling 7-day R/T Alaska for cheaper than they were when I started in 1979.
