Grey color on luggage tags

Hi. I have found this site to be helpful and have enjoyed reading the topics here. I've seen other colors on luggage tags but this time ours are grey on Carnival. Have you seen this before? I printed them in color so it doesn't have to do with it being printed in black and white. Does it designate anything specific? Thanks for your help.

Under a better light it now looks light brown. I've seen Carnival tags before and they are usually bright colors.

The colors really dont matter. You can print them in black and white and it won't make a difference. They will still be delivered to your cabin regardless.

Well....yes and no.  

 

Unless something has changed in the last few years, the tag colors identify what deck the bags are going to.  

While Carnival says it is fine to print them in B&W/grayscale, we had a bag dropped off in front of our room that wasn't ours.  That tag had been printed in B&W...and the bag belonged to the stateroom directly above ours.   😮

OK now I have to go look to see what colors the luggage tags are for my next cpl cruises....🤔
