What pier does Caribbean Princess dock at in San Juan on March 20, 2024.

Hi Folks, I can’t seem to find a definitive answer on the internet to my question of what pier does the Caribbean Princess dock at in San Juan Puerto Rico on March 20, 2024. Can anyone help?

Ships visiting San Juan usually use the Old San Juan Piers, specifically Pier 3 or 4.  The Pan American pier  is used by ships for embarkation/disembarkation

If it's not showing on your Cruise Planner, probably the only site which would show it is the San Juan, PR port site. You could try Googling that.

I’ve tried San Juan port info queries and can’t find one that identifies pier. I tried a Princess chat and after a long wait and long back and forth with agent I was told that Caribbean Princess will dock at pier 4 but agent qualified that saying CB could dock at Pan American pier if port is busy. Somewhat helpful but I’m starting to think we will just have to see.

The pier is important because from pier 4 you walk off right into Old San Juan and El Morro. From Pan American pier it’s 3 miles so taxi or bus is required.

While it is true that Piers 3/4 are right in OSJ, El Morro requires a 1 mile walk, mostly uphill. There used to be a free tourist tram that did a circular route from the waterfront up to El Morro; I don't know if it still operates.

We are in port 9:00 am to 10:00 pm so the pier 4 location would give us the opportunity to jump on and off the ship and still be in the heart of things. We’ve been to San Juan before but were docked at the Pan American pier. Longer journey to get to OSJ and El Morro.

In the last year we have been on 2 cruises  that included San Juan and both times it was at the docks by "Old San Juan".
