My body would consider only 1 double-shot per hour a silly joke. That's why I cruise NCL.

As I recall, that is the rate at which the average person metabolizes an once of alcohol.

More power to you for your ability.

I just hope that your liver agrees.

It doesn't, but that's why I'm completely dry 325+ days of the year. Sonograms and EGD's are far more effective motivators than any AA meeting. 🙂

But to get back on track for the thread, Carnival's 15-drink max (and only one shot at a time) does have a significant impact on some people's choice of cruise line.

I always mention this to first time NCL cruisers. On embarkation day, NCL will have a dining room available! Possibly two. It is so enjoyable to have a nice sit down lunch rather than dealing with the insanity of the buffet that day.

I'm Platinum with both Carnival and NCL. I like cruising out of NY or Boston on 7-day cruises so I've been choosing NCL more often. I still prefer these things about Carnival:

1. cake

2. cake

3. cake

4. Guy's burgers

5. Pizza
