mbgolfer Posted March 19, 2006 #76 Share Posted March 19, 2006 You can view the excursions on the Carnival site, go to the itinerary, and the location. Too many to list in an email. Lots of information in the Destiny board as well.
Sue L Posted March 19, 2006 #77 Share Posted March 19, 2006 We did the kayaking, hiking and snorkeling tour and it was great! You go to to a protected area, kayak through the preserve of mango trees and go to a unihabited island. It was a really nice tour

y3anks7 Posted March 19, 2006 #79 Share Posted March 19, 2006 Can you tell me how much it is for just these four tours: carnival gives a price range St Thomas----- Coral Land and Sea Aruba------ Natural Wonders Barbados----Flavors of Babados Dominica-----Rainforest Ariel Trim please if you can just get the price for me on these four tours.... please thank you in advance
perkyblue Posted March 19, 2006 #80 Share Posted March 19, 2006 The prices depend on exactly when you cruise, I think. If you're booked for a cruise and you use your reservation number to register on the website, it will list the exact price for the excursions. steveaaaa Posted March 20, 2006 #85 Share Posted March 20, 2006 The rudder jammed, the propeller hit it, a piece broke off and flew into a passenger's leg and broke it. OK...I admit it...I made that up..but I bet I could sell that story to the National Cruise Enquirer!:D I thought they hit an iceberg and were taken on ice for the next sailing? Steve

sweetpik2 Posted March 20, 2006 #92 Share Posted March 20, 2006 Just to update everyone if you already don't know,I was on the ship and am now at a hotel It was very full of commotion. The ship and cruise workers did what they could considering there were so many people. They put us up in hotels and rebooked our flights, some as late as Wednesday. Our hotel is a beauty though ;) I do have to be at work right now and instead am still in san juan. Many people were entirely too freaking out and upset. There isn't much they can do to orderly get everything done especially with 3500 more peopl waiting to board. I don't know what will happen concerning reimbersment for the experience. I hope this helps. What I have heard of the situation. When we left aruba, a elderly lady fell and broke something... I saw here in a wheel chair in the casino, she could have had a heart attack.I dont know. So in the middle of the night we returned to aruba due to the medical emergency. Then upon coming out to sea something with the propulation sp? broke. We think it was a bearing. By early sunday morning it was fixed and we began to pick up speed. WE docked around 4 pm sunday evening and around 10 pm we still had friends on board waiting for hotels and flights.

caprcorn28 Posted March 20, 2006 #95 Share Posted March 20, 2006 I am going to be interested to see how this story pans out...only because we have friends that were getting on the Destiny yesterday. There always seems to be "something" that happens when that poor girl travels!! I am keeping my **fingers crossed** that they were able to sail in something of a timely fashion and are going to be able to get to all of their ports!! Thank you so much for the information, and I hope that since it was fixed there are no further problems. If you have trip insurance, I believe that it should cover any additional expenses caused by your unexpectedly longer vacation.

derf5585 Posted March 20, 2006 #98 Share Posted March 20, 2006 What I think happened is that when they left Aruba the second time to make up the time lost, they overheated a bearing.
zydecocruiser Posted March 20, 2006 #99 Share Posted March 20, 2006 Since the first stop is St Thomas, they probably could row there. I would think the next shift only lost a few hours of their cruise. Maybe they just lost their bearing and found it when they ran into Aruba ?
